Club 100 Library - 415/939-1246 BBS 937-5039 NEWSLETTER, 932-8856 VOICE "Braker.ba" and "Mind.ba" are games modeled after the board game, "Mastermind". They deal with generating and breaking a hidden code. The one pits you against the computer's code, and "Breaker" breaks the code you selected. Because it is all in BASIC, it can be slow to run. Depending on it's guesses and logic, it can take from 1 to 10 minutes to break a problem. In these games each move is graded by awarding a "Black" peg for each right color also in the right position. The "White" peg is given for a correct color not in correct position. Using this information, the hidden colors are deduced, locigally, finally homing in on the correct colors in 4-5 moves, usually. More than one of a color is permitted, of course. Like the board game, "Mind" has a more difficult mode, also using "S" for space, as another color. Enter your moves like "Y Y G R", then "Enter." (Spaces but no commas.) It's interesting to pit someone directly against the computer on "Braker", figuring out the same code it's working on in a time battle! Many versions of these games have been written over the years. Do you have a better one for the Model 100? Russ Hall 1380 Diane Dr. Salt Lake City, UT 84123
