Thank you for downloading my 1983 game "Castle Dracula" If you are looking for a good horror IF please go back to my web site www.wolfman.co.uk and download any of my other IF games. They are free, and far more advanced than "Castle Dracula." "Castle Dracula" has been resurrected as a piece of nostalgia. It was written a long time ago, when I was very young! In the zipped file please find two files: Dracv9t9.dis Dracv9t9.dsk These are to use with the Texas TI994a computer emulator: "V9T9 Runner Deluxe" At present this emulator can be found at: http://www.99er.net/v9t9run.shtml Instructions You may need to print this page out--it's very involved! After installing the emulator on your PC, open the "V9t9run" folder on your C drive. In this folder you will find a folder labeled "Disks" (not Disk3) open this and transfer the two files into this folder. Run the emulator program. You will be presented with the windows screen "V9t9runner deluxe" with icons of a moon buggy, computer disk, projector etc. Click on the disk icon. This will bring up another menu. Under "select disk image" select "DRACV9T9.DSK" click "accept settings" This takes you back to the "V9t9runner deluxe" window. Now press the image of the man running. This takes you to a second screen. Here select "super extended basic" press enter. This starts the emulator proper, and you will see the TI994a screen on your computer. As the screen says; "Press any key." You will then be given another menu screen from this select "Super basic" The screen will now go blank for 15 seconds before the game starts. NOTE: Because the emulated program is running at a slower speed the opening screen of "Castle Dracula" with the introduction will stay on screen for aprox 20 seconds before the game starts. Notes; The original game has been lost. This version of the game is a final beta test. The game is playable, and seems to be bug free. Controls: Movement is by single letter input. N, S, E, W, U, D. Verbs used include. dig, enter, remove, get, drop, say, open, play. Single letter input. This game used a simplistic examination system. If You press "L" you examined everything within a room. If writing, or a book are present press "R" to read. Best of luck. Paul Johnson
