.IF DSK1.C3 IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING IMPACT/99 && ELSEWHERE && NEW/AGE ARTICLES BY JACK SUGHRUE All these articles may be used FREELY by any 99er newsletter editor. If there are any updatings or large revisions (correcting typos is fine), please note these revisions by bracketing the information being changed. Such as - [There are now FIVE makers of RAM disks for the TI community. - ED] - if I had written there were three, for example. I would just like to see the integrity of the complete articles maintained, BUT I would also appreciate any updating before printing where possible. ANY excerpts may be used at any time, but please give credit. These disks may be placed in user group libraries and may be COPIED FREE OF ANY CHARGE BY ANY USER. I offer these articles at no cost to all 99ers. Please do not charge for them. I do ask, though, that any newsletter editor using these materials place me on the mailing list. It is this receiving of newsletters that helps me to write about the happenings in our community. Plus, I enjoy writing these columns if I can get a chance to read lots of newsletters. Thank you in advance for this. NOTICE! NOTICE! NOTICE!*****************************! ALL of the files on this disk (including this one) have been encoded using PLUS! templates. This means you can screen read everything through your TIW EDITor without the annoying windowing, but when you print out these files through the FORMATer you will get large titles and compressed type of about 120 columns with underline, italics, etc. Just keep these disks (or at least files C2 and C3) in Drive One. Otherwise the coding will not be read by the FORMATter. Don't run them through the EDITor (PF) as you'll get narrow strips of 38 columns. If you don't want to print through the FORMATter (or your printer is not Epson compatible) then DELETE the two lines of IF code at the beginning of each article (.IF DSK1.C3 &&^.IF DSK1.C2) before printing through the FORMATter. ABOUT 99% OF ALL DOT MATRIX PRINTERS USED WITH THE TI SHOULD OPERATE PERFECTLY WITHOUT DELETING THOSE TWO LINES OF CODE. I thank you for showing interest in my work. I'll be averaging 12 to 14 2-(and sometimes 3)page compressed-print articles on disk each year from here on and will publicly announce their FREE availability. The NEW/AGE columns are the most recent; IMPACT/99 are earlier; TEXTWARE, SOFTWARE, and ELSEWHERE columns are the earliest (along with some untitled things). And, last, a little plug for my PLUS! v.2.0 (the LAST, COMPLETE, FINAL version!) disk. This is a utility disk and an operating system for ALL the many versions of T.I.WRITER, though I recommend FUNNELWEB. It is about 1400 sectors and some 90 files (some packed tightly into DOCS packages) that will take your word processing options to new heights. It is Fairware for only $10 for complete disk and text materials. Many user groups are using PLUS! as a fundraiser by purchasing it as GROUPWARE. This means that for $30 your group has permission to make copies of all the diskfiles and the hardcopy items for EVERY member of the group. All members become registered users. If the group wishes to sell PLUS! to members for $5 (or whatever) to raise money, this is okay, as ALL members have their fairware donation covered by this one-shot $30 GROUPWARE donation. I just ask that you restrict this to members of your donating group. Thanks. The original PLUS! 1.0 was rated "A" in MICROpendium and praised highly by COMPUTER SHOPPER's Dr.^Ron Albright, BB&&P's Dr.^Charles Good, and by many newsletter reviewers in America, Canada, and Australia. The new PLUS! is more than twice the size and is ten times the value. Every single one of the 90 files is upgraded, rewritten, or brand new. Again, thanks for your support. Please send your newsletters (and/or your PLUS! purchases) to: Jack Sughrue Box 459 East Douglas, MA 01516. ********************** Հ
