This file describes LIMA DISKS 1144-1154 for Geneve users. The first part of this document describes the software. The second part shows which software is on each of the above mentioned Lima disks. All files described here have been compiled by MICROpendium. THESE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN DOWLOADED FROM NATIONAL BBSs for GENEVE USERS. Some may also be useful to those with 80 column 99/4A systems. Since many of the programs consist of several files, we have numbered them. In most cases, simply delete the numbers to restore the original names. However, in some cases, this means that the actual filenames have been changed. For example, 11CKMEM-DC was originally named CKMEM- DOC; 17SETD-COM was originally SETDSK-COM. In most cases, the documentation file that comes with most of the programs should include the original file name. This is important only for those programs that load secondary files to work. If the original names aren't included in the docs, check the program loaders or source code if provided. Generally, an filename that ends with -S, /S or something similar is a source file. Those that end with a -D, DC /D or something similar is a documentation file. It serves the 4A user as the program BOOT, and serves the 9640 user as BOOT or GPO/GPP. For the Geneve guys, it also runs from EXEC. It takes advantage of the 9938 video processor (on 4A or Geneve) by allowing you to toggle 40 or 80 columns. It takes advantage of gram emulating devices (p-gram, Gram Kracker, Geneve, etc.) by allowing you to load cartridges directly, and see ALL of the cartridge headers (not just the first one) in ALL of the gram bases (not just 9800). It takes advantage of the Myarc HFDCC by showing date stamps in the catalog, and the catalog routine has been entirely rewritten to allow you to run, view, delete, print, etc., multiple files right from the catalog. You can now save your user option configuration to disk, and load it back into the program. Many many changes here. Give it a try! 64 sectors. Ben Hatheway's ROMPAGE makes it much easier to use MDM5 and other programs requiring low level sector access on the HFDC! It runs from GPL and does three things: It pages in the DSR code from the ROM of the HFDC so that its low level code may be utilized and programs that require such code - such as MDM5, Spell-It, and others - may be run with H versions of MDOS; initializes the card by executing the power-up routine in the HFDC (which is not done in H MDOS); and returns you to the title screen.
